Welcome to Season 2 of Pedagogo, the show that brings education to your ears and metamastery to your assessments.

We’re back Education Nation, welcome to the second season of Pedagogo! I’m your host, Dr. Allison Case, a former Director of Curriculum and Accreditation & faculty member at a tier one research institute, and now an education consultant for ExamSoft. If this is your first time listening, welcome! Pedagogo is a podcast designed for educators and administrators on the move looking to stay informed on what’s hot and happening in higher education, in a way that’s practical and applicable. For those who joined us for the first season we’re so happy to have you back and can’t wait to discuss all the latest happenings in the world of pedagogy. Each week, I aim to share some tips, building blocks, and stumbling blocks to help you put best practice into practice. Last season, Pedagogo focused on “Pedagogy, not Panic-gogy”, as we talked about the many aspects of education affected by COVID19.  I spoke with faculty, administrators, and private sector education and assessment specialists on a wide range of topics, from navigating the twists and turns of a suddenly remote academic semester, to protecting the privacy of students in a virtual testing environment.

This season, our focus is on equity and enablement in the classroom, in assessments, and in education’s communities. I’ll continue to bring you the latest and greatest insights as I speak with faculty, thought leaders, and subject matter experts about topics affecting our lives in the classroom and beyond. We’ll also hear from students as we aim to cover all points of view to inform our pedagogy. We’ll kick off the season with a powerful first episode on cultural attunement in the classrooms. We’ll also discuss online virtual classrooms that have grown leaps and bounds since spring, trauma- informed pedagogy, inclusive assessments, and so more this season. Sound good? Be sure to join me Tuesdays starting next week for Season 2 of Pedagogo.
